Esther Luttrell is not a religious philosopher, or a psychic, or anything remotely like that-just a mother who lost her boy and who has been blessed by his presence from the Other Side. "Dear Dean, I know you've wondered if I would ever understand what it is you've been trying to tell me since the day you crossed over. In my missing you, in my desperate search for answers, I was so busy shouting why, why, why that I couldn't hear your clear voice. This book, honey, is my wholehearted effort to share your messages-when I finally shut up long enough to hear them." -Esther Luttrell, Excerpt from Dear Dean...Love, Mom. "What is wrong with God? Why in the world would he ever put a parent through the nightmare, the anguish, of losing a child? How, through the miracle of birth, could He give a mother His most precious gift...only to snatch it back, recalling it to the heavens as if it were some defective merchandise? What is wrong with God? Esther Luttrell lost her son. Did she grieve? Of course. Was she in pain? Of course. But what if, when the nest was empty, the bird continued to fly? What if life continued on the Other Side? "Dear Dean...Love, Mom" is Esther's true-life encounter with her son after he crossed over. This journal of life-after-life is spellbinding and mysterious, but also hopeful and enchanting. What if God didn't get it wrong? What if the miracle of life doesn't end with death? What if the miracle of life continues? Esther has lived an extraordinary life. A life filled one moment with exhilaration and the next moment with despair. But, finally, she is able to share her story with the world. Her nest may be empty, but she knows, in her heart of hearts, somewhere in the heavens, her bird is still flying." -Ken Rotcop author of The Perfect Pitch series

I have been moved to tears and given hope by many books: 'Kidnapped', 'A Christmas Carol', 'Silas Marner', 'Cyrano de Bergerac', 'Ethan Frome'...But these are all fiction. Esther Luttrell's book, 'Dear Dean...Love, Mom', is a true account, written from the depths of her soul and her poignant struggle to come to terms with Dean's death. At times heart-rending, at other times heart-warming, Esther's emotional journey through the loss of her son to the realization of what it means gives all of us insight and hope for our own struggles, no matter what they may be. I wish all of us could gain such awareness and emotional well-being as Esther has. A gem of a book!

I received this as a gift from a friend, who knew it was what I needed. I have also had experiences as the author describes and it is good to know that others have, too.

I came across this book by an astounding set of serendiptous circumstances but I have seldom been happier with a result. This is a wonderful inspiring book that will make you laugh, cry, think hard about your own beliefs and views of life and what comes next, and above all feel a real heart-deep hope that this is not all there is!
Esther has taken her personal tragedy and with the help of her departed son, fashioned a vision that can uplift the most grievously bereaved from the searing pain of loss. It is one thing to read a scholarly tome about hypnotic interviews or what a doctor or other professional may have witnessed in death and near death situations but this is personal and vivid and close enough to touch! Thank you Esther for sharing this incredible adventure. Your words will surely help thousands of readers to deal with thier own losses. God bless you.

I'd been so busy I hadn't taken time for pleasure reading but I am so glad I gave myself the gift of this wonderful little book! But then again, there are no coincidences. I'm sure I was meant to read this wonderful life journey of Esther and her beloved son, Dean. Never before have I read something so important, warm and inspirational in such a quick, fun and easy read. From page to page, Esther's love and generosity poured forth. From one story to the next, I was on the edge of my seat, totally absorbed; so much so that I almost missed my own radio show because I couldn't put the book down. And the book spoke to me. So much of what Esther tells seemed it was just for me. Esther is definitely being divinely guided so that she might help not just herself, but each of us. I put that book down, only after holding it to my heart many times over, tears in my eyes, confidence in my being that when I close my eyes and my loved ones close theirs that it is not the end. Thank you Esther and Dean for this straightforward and loving approach to such an important message for us all.
