I purchased this book and I haven't read it yet but right now I am not really ready for the dating scene and I planned on reading it when I was ready to go on dates with an actual white (caucasian) male or any other type of race other than black. It also read much like a how-to manual as opposed to an examination into the black person's (especially black woman's) experience and perspectives w/regard to interracial relationships. This book was more of a "gloss-over"; it didn't really address topics head-on or deep enough.

that are in an interracial relationship are actually in it for the love
Furthermore, many argue that the only reason a person of color marries a white person is to move up in social status. Black men will trade certain personal assets, for example, money and physical attractiveness, for the status of a union with a white woman in compensation for her higher racial caste. Yancey, 2) This is an example of how a Black man may be perceived in his motives. Presently, many people that are in an interracial relationship are actually in it for the love. Interracial relationships are usually formed for the same reasons as same race relationships are, because each person in the relationship adores the other.
