Donald Irwin Warren was an American sociologist and author, who studied and wrote about alienation in America. Warren’s work documented the political feelings of disaffected "middle Americans" and studied some of the early hate-speech broadcasters, some of whom were the forefathers of today’s right-wing militia groups. Also, Warren taught Sociology at Oakland University for more than thirty years. Warren’s first book was "Black Neighborhoods: An Assessment of Community Power". Later, he published "The Radical Center: Middle Americans and the Politics of Alienation", a book, that sought to define the angry, anti-elitist political beliefs of American’s working class.
