This was the 3rd installment of the Daughters of Mannerling series and a lovely installment it was. This story was markedly different from the first two in a very good way. The romance was not plagued unnaturally by Mannerling scheming. In fact, the whole Mannerling aspect happens by accident which was very refreshing in comparison with the first two books. Abigail is a lovely heroine. I wish we could have seen a little more of her hoydenish side while they were in the country. It was almost ironic to have that aspect of her personality appear in London of all places. Speaking of which... London! How nice to finally get there in this series. Our Hero is interesting. I find it amusing that Abigail doesn't even notice this paragon of masculinity at first, although he certainly does not. It was tantalizing to get more tidbits regarding Miss Trumble but there was not enough information given to really hints about what her past was really like. This was an excellent novel and I look forward to the remaining 3 volumes in the series. Very highly recommended for all Regency Romance lovers.

This series shows how a family can survive, no matter what the circumstances. The descriptions of the areas were great.
Bloodfire
I look forward to the adventures of the rest of the Beverly sisters. M.C. Beat on always guarantees a lively story.
