He wanted a sensible wife! . Jessica Hart had a haphazard early career that took her around the world in a variety of interesting but very lowly jobs, all of which have provided inspiration on which to draw when it comes to the settings and plots of her stories. She eventually stumbled into writing as a way of funding a PhD in medieval history, but was quickly hooked on romance and is now a full-time author based in York.

OH-SO-SENSIBLE SECRETARY Jessica Hart Here – at last! – was my new boss, lounging in the doorway and smiling an irresistibly lop-sided smile.

For Better? Corporate wife Mallory McIver has promised her new husband a businesslike marriage, with no messy emotions involved. For Worse? Then Torr announces he's moving to the Highlands of Scotland to restore the derelict castle he's inherited. OH-SO-SENSIBLE SECRETARY Jessica Hart Here – at last! – was my new boss, lounging in the doorway and smiling an irresistibly lop-sided smile. You know how it feels when a million butterflies are fluttering inside you? Well, that's what it felt like the first time I, Summer Curtis, laid eyes on Phin Gibson.

The Right Kind of Man. 1. Books.

A sleek computer sat on my desk, humming gently. A notebook and freshly sharpened pencil were squared up to one side of a high-tech phone, but otherwise the desk was empty, the way I like it. I can’t bear clutter. There was only one thing missing.

CHAPTER ONE. The lift doors slid open, and out stepped Louisa Dennison, bang on time. Watching her from across the lobby, Patrick was conscious of a familiar spurt of something close to irritation

CHAPTER ONE. Watching her from across the lobby, Patrick was conscious of a familiar spurt of something close to irritation. Dammit, couldn't the woman be five seconds late for once? Here she came, in her prim little grey suit, whose skirt stopped precisely at the knee, not a hair of her dark head out of place. She looked sensible, discreet, well groomed, the epitome of a perfect PA. Patrick knew that he was being irrational

I loved the characters, even Sylvia, because she's a great foil for Deborah! The storyline is sweet, not too much description of sex. Deborah is an amazing young lady even if I don't believe she went through Turkey and Iran alone! Still, creative and determined to let her love of life spill over everyone, it's no wonder our hero falls in love!

This book was an enjoyable read. I liked that the relationship development between the main characters. It was not an intense attraction at first sight but it grew overtime. Particularly refreshing was that it took a while before the relationship became sexual although there were mild intimate moments leading up to the sex. The pacing of the story was good and the minor characters complimented the main characters in a balanced way. I would recommend this book.

I loved this book, it is one of the funniest and most wildly romantic of Hart's marriage of convenience-style romances. This is about Deborah who is travelling in Indonesia when her belongings are all stolen. She is in a bit of bind already but now is even more so! Luckily - or unluckily Gil, an engineer who is living and working there is passing at the time and reluctantly helps her out.

To cut a long story short his fiance Debi has refused to come out to stay with him and he needs someone to help him with the work, and due to circumstances she needs to be married to him, in short, he needs a wife - a sensible wife.

Deborah really is not a sensible wife at all but she is prepared to try, only trouble is she doesn't really do what she is supposed to, she is hopeless at office work and typing and filing and all Gil seems to dois look at her in a disapproving fashion.

However Deborah is an enormously agreeable character and very easy to like and enjoy. You can see how the love grows between them. This very much reminds me of a Georgette Heyer romance. It has bright sparkling dialogue and good fun characters.

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun, cheery, a easy read. The heroine was a delight. She had a great attitude and a zest for life.
