I am a professor of chemical engineering and have for years taught a graduate course on interfacial science. I have always used a different text, not because I loved it, but because it was about the only comprehensive book out there. This last year I asked for an examination copy of this text "Interfacial Science" and immediately liked it. As I have spent more tiem with this text, I like it all the more. It is comprehensive without trying to cover "everything". It is well organized, very readable, nice graphics which demonstrate the principles, important proofs shown but in separate sections so as not to interrupt the flow of the narrative, history of science inserts, and practical insights. It is an excellent introduction to a very broad field. It is suitable for upperclassmen as well as graduate students. I highly recommend it for anyone new to this field.
