There are hundred of "self-help" books out there to choose from, but few are like this one. The words of wisdom held within the pages of this dynamite book are simple, straight-forward and packed with insight. The lessons are not new lessons, but they are reminders of how to Live a Life of Freedom... freedom through being wise (learning from the lessons of life) and doing good (with integrity and honesty to yourself and others). The authenticity of this book is unparalleled, the simplicity makes it so you can reach for it throughout the day and ponder an idea or simply take 5 minutes to re-adjust your perspective and the randomness of the book makes it the perfect companion for daily living. If you are looking for words of wisdom that are presented in a meaningful, concise manner that will allow you to determine the best path, this is the book to buy. From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank the author, Greg Smith, for taking the time to create this book, your thoughts have been healing and helpful in times of discord.

In a land of media overload, Be Wise, Do Good, Live Free is a refreshing compilation of ideas and concepts to strongly consider adapting to our daily lives. The book clearly spells out the difference between winners and losers - the mistakes we make to take us towards Loserville and the brilliant decisions we make to lead us to a life of fulfillment. This book will provide many years of value to my children, more so than any physics, math or grammar class could ever do for them. The chapter on Pretension of Profession is a must read for all business professionals. - Author, Speaker, PGA Golf Guru and Owner of GrandRapidsGolfLesson.com Scott Seifferlein

Wise, good, and free are all words I think too many would use to describe their life or the life they pursue. With the unwise, bad, and dependent ideologues relentlessly selling alternate definitions of the terms, a well written reminder of what wise, good and free really looks like is well needed.

The random placement of small sections makes this a suitable read if I have 5 minutes or 5 hours. I especially enjoyed number 75. There are so many out there selling 'sombreros'. Any business owner would do well to think of those big round hats with the 'dingly-dangly balls hanging from the brim' as they make decisions about the product and services they will provide.

It has some good parts but it really seemed to have a strong religious/conservative background, a lot of the passages have a pretty clear political or religious agenda in it. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could, it's got some interesting passages in it but mostly it was a waste of money for me - could be very interesting for some people, but I wish I had known this beforehand.
