My daughter and I found this book to be very well done. The written assignments were thought provoking and worth the time spent. Each assignment was well written and required a variety of work from the student, keeping it interesting. Most assignments took approx. 30 min. To complete. We supplemented this work book with several novels as well as Ken Burns Civil war documentary. Strongly recommend this course and we are diving into the next in the series next!

Loved this for my 6th grade homeschooler!! Only wish that a test could have been given after each section and more review pages. I made my own tests based on the info and worked well, but made a lot of work for me!
