Plastics Engineering. This book presents in a single volume the basic essentials of the properties and processing behaviour of plastics and composites. The aim is to give engineers and technologists a sound understanding of basic principles without the introduction of unduly complex levels of mathematics or chemistry and thereby set plastics in their proper context as engineering materials. This textbook pioneered the approach whereby both properties and processing of reinforced and unreinforced plastics are covered in a single volume. It assumes no prior knowledge of plastics,.
The aim is to give engineers and technologists a sound understanding of basic principles without the introduction of unduly complex levels of mathematics or chemistry and thereby set plastics in their proper context as engineering materials. It assumes no prior knowledge of plastics, and emphasises the practical aspects of the subject.

This book presents in a single volume the basic essentials of the properties and processing behaviour of plastics and composites.
The first textbook to cover both properties and processing of reinforced and unreinforced plastics to this level.
Professor Crawford is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Fellow of the Institute of Materials. This is his eighth book on polymer processing
it distinguishes itself from them by approaching the technical aspects of the subject in a single voice. Professor Crawford is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Fellow of the Institute of Materials. In 1997, he was elected Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. This is his eighth book on polymer processing. ix CONTENTS 1 INTRODUCTION TO ROTATIONAL MOLDING.
