Bought this as a supplement to my Composite Materials graduate course. Typically mechanical engineering students will have gone through strength of materials prior to taking the composite materials class but I was a chemistry undergrad and didn't take it. It is a useful reference for someone who did not take the class and needs background information for solving problems that use elementary beam theory.

I love these Schaum books, but I feel like they leave gaps in their explanation to problems. They also have a bunch of errors in there work.
