Computational Methods forPlasticity: Theory and Applications describes the theory of theassociated numerical . There are many plasticity books in the market. Some of them are full of derivation, theory, but no content on algorithm methods.

Computational Methods forPlasticity: Theory and Applications describes the theory of theassociated numerical methods for the simulation of a wide range ofplastic engineering materials; from the simplest ity theory to more complex damage mechanics and finitestrain crystal plasticity models. Another extremes are more or less cookbooks that do not contain sufficient background.

PDF This book is about Theory of Plasticity and metal forming. The book contains the following chapters: Part one Chapter 1: Stress and Stain Relationships For Elastic Behavior for one, two and three-dimensional. Chapter 2: Applications of Materials Testing Chapter 3: Elements of The Theory of Plasticity Chapter 4: Analysis Of Metal Forming Processes Chapter 5: Metal forming processes.

It starts with the introduction of fundamental theories on the mechanics of materials, computational mechanics and the formulation of unified constitutive equations. Particular attention is paid to elastic–plastic formulations for cold metal forming and unified elastic–viscoplastic constitutive equations for warm/hot metals processing

Flow plasticity is a solid mechanics theory that is used to describe the plastic behavior of materials. Flow plasticity theories are characterized by the assumption that a flow rule exists that can be used to determine the amount of plastic deformation in the material. In flow plasticity theories it is assumed that the total strain in a body can be decomposed additively (or multiplicatively) into an elastic part and a plastic part.

A large deformation version of the theory can be formulated by using the logarithmic strain and its conjugate stress. Since stress proportionally increase, elastoplastic response is described macroscopically by constitutive structure of nonlinear elasticity, where strain is a function of stress
