The International Winter School on Electronic Properties of High-Temperature Superconductors, held between March 7-14, 1992, in Kirchberg, (Tyrol) Austria, was the sixth in a series of meetings to be held at this venue. Four of the earlier meetings were dedicated to issues in the field of conducting polymers, while the winter school held in 1990 was devoted to the new discipline of high-T c superconductivity.

Because of the sensitivity of the precursors to CO2 and moisture, especially for Hg-based ones in the absence of ReO2 or mercury halogenides, these powders must be handled in a dry box filled with an inert gas.
