The Edwin S. George Building, built in 1908, is located at 4612 Woodward Avenue in Midtown Detroit, Michigan, at the corner of Woodward and Garfield. In 1914, the name was changed to the Garfield Building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. Edwin S. In Singapore in the early 1990s shophouses were being demolished based on misleading structural advice that they were too expensive, or too difficult to restore for any future use. The cleared sites were of great value for the modern multi-storey development. When Sir Stamford Raffles (1781–1826) arrived, Singapore was hardly developed at all. Raffles formulated a plan to divide the town into communal neighbourhoods, or campongs. Davison, Julian (2011) Singapore Shophouse. Institute of Historic Building Conservation.

I prefer "historic building", for buildings existing in the present with some historical significance. I've found both collocations with buidlings, but I don't know the difference. I think historic buildings are usually old and important, such as Westminster Abbey, but I have no idea what a historical building is. Does anyone the difference when it comes down to buildings and cities? Cheers. I believe they are used synonymously. I checked the BYU corpus of AE (360+ million words): 11 instances of historical building, 48 of historic building. From a million-word BNC corpus, 3 instances of historical building and 29 of historic building.

He talked about the history of the building and this served as his background story. This is very important as the examiner would be able to understand the origin of the building.
